Pocket PC's
One of the most common questions we are asked is "what kind of PDA should I get in order to use Solstice?" The short answer is that any Pocket PC running the Windows Mobile 5.0 or 2003 operating systems should work with Solstice. Complete system requirements are available here.
Often, though, the question is not just "what will work," but "what do you recommend?" Right now, Dell appears to be offering the best combination of features, price, & service. The Dell Axim X51 Pocket PC's are stylish, feature rich, & reasonably priced.
We do recommend, however, that you stay away from the top of the line Dell Axim X51v with the VGA screen. The reason for this is that running the VGA screen tends to drain the battery fairly quickly. Since battery life is generally more important to most Solstice users than the fanciest screen, we recommend either of the two standard X51 models.
